This is a great first step in the direction to 'true' customizable user experiences. 'IF' this can be officially supported by Microsoft, then and only then, will it open the doors and minds to the possibility of having a 'custom' computer, which still runs off the VERY widespread Windows OS.
I must make a note that I disagree entirely with Hans. "if people are seriously THAT “interested” in and driven BY, computers" then the world is becoming a better place. For example, Most of the most important operations in the WORLD are now operated, or at least recorded, on computers. Much of this information is also very important to the end user. Without 'people who are THAT "interested" in and driven BY, computers,' computers would be unreliable, unstable, and all-over insecure.
Anyone whose primary focus and waking hours are taken up by this stuff, Deserves a place in the computing world, Because there are not enough of them out there!

Honestly... if people are seriously THAT "interested" in and driven BY, computers.. it seems kind of peculiar at best, unseemly and unhealthy at worst. How can you really engage with a person whose primary focus and waking hours are taken up by this stuff? I don't think it bodes well for humanity and society
